Rental Policy

PLEASE READ THIS PAGE THOROUGHLY. 

A-1 Van & Truck Rentals Terms, Conditions & Rental Requirements: 

All Drivers must meet the following requirements to operate our vehicles:

Valid USA Drivers License (If outside the USA, International Driver's License and Passport required).

It would be best to have stand-alone Full Coverage Auto Insurance, meaning you need Liability Insurance as well as Comprehensive & Collision Insurance that will transfer to our vehicle in the event there is an accident. (We only offer our Comprehensive & Collision protection insurance after you have proved to us that you at least have valid up to date Liability Insurance and it is checked with the customers Insurance Provider.

Customers must have a Credit/Debit Card on file with us for the deposit. Rentals can be paid with either Credit/Debit or Cash. NO PERSONAL CHECKS

Drivers should be 25 years or older. (21-24 year old drivers will need to pay an additional fee to rent. $40 per day, per underage driver)

The company reserves the right to deny a rental if they believe the driver is under the influence of alcohol or any other substance that may impair their ability to drive safely.

Vans must be Picked up/Returned during normal business hours. Monday - Friday, 8 am - 6 pm. Saturday, 9 am - 3 pm. (Sunday's we are closed. We can make an appointment with you to pick up/drop off on Sunday's or after hours for a small convenience fee of $50.00) 

Customers will be responsible if the key is lost and has to be replaced. The Customer is also responsible if the key has to be mailed overnight to them. Key Replacement and Reprogramming charge $750.00. 

PLEASE, DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING FROM THE VAN. (EZ-Pass, Insurance, Registration, Owner's Manual, Seats Headrests, Jack & Tire Iron) This will be checked. If you need seats removed, Please let the A-1 Van & Truck Rental staff know when making the reservation, and we will remove them for you. There is a $50.00 charge for removing and storing the seats. 

When a customer returns our van, Customers MUST make sure to clean the van completely. This means checking under the seats, all of the compartments, door compartments, and shelves above the windshield. If anything is left in the van, (food, garbage of any kind, pet hair, mud/dirt, personal belongings, Etc...) Customers will be charged a $100.00 cleaning fee. (we are not asking you to wash & vacuum the van, We just don't want any trash or personal belonging left in the van)

The van inside will be inspected before you leave and when you return. When you return with the van, If there are any burns, rips, or stains on the seats, floors, walls, or ceiling of the interior, pet shedding, accidents, or smells, the Customer will be charged a $300.00 detailing fee. (Burns or rips will be more of a charge because we would have to repair the fabric.) 

An inspection will be done of the van outside before you leave and again when you return. When you return the van, If there is any damage, the Customer will be responsible for seeing that the van is repaired if The RCP Insurance or the Customer's Personal Insurance doesn't cover the damage to the van. Customers accept full responsibility for the van while it is under a rental contract with them, regardless of whether the damage done to the van was their fault or not. This includes the Sidewall of Tire, Rim damage, Running Boards and Door Handles. 

Customers are responsible for al windows and mirrors in the van. Windows and mirrors are not covered under insurance. If the windshield or any other windows or mirrors are broken, cracked, or damaged in any way during your rental, Customers will be responsible for having the windows fixed in the van. This also includes debris or rocks hitting the windshield while driving. 

Customers CANNOT go through any Drive-Thru's or Low Clearances. The van is approximately 10 FEET HIGH. IT WILL NOT FIT. Customers will be responsible for roof damage. 

Please watch parking near trees and street signs. Tree branches hang low, and Street signs can stick out far. Customers will be responsible for scratches that occur during their rental, regardless of whether it is their fault or not. 

DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ON THE ROOF. It is against the law to travel with anything on the roof, and will cause damage to the roof of the van. 

DO NOT TOW ANYTHING WITH THE VAN. Insurance will not cover the van if damage is caused by towing or hauling anything. 

Customers will be responsible for any tickets they may receive during their rental. (Speeding, Red Light Cameras, Parking or Toll Violations) 

There is ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING OF ANYTHING IN OUR VEHICLES. (Cigars, Cigarettes, Pipes, Vapes & Marijuana) Customers will be charged a detailing fee of $500.00, NO EXCEPTIONS! 

Too often, Renters have damaged the van doors due to improper use. Customers will be trained on how to open/close the doors properly. Insurance will not cover any damage caused by negligence. Customers will be responsible for fixing the damage if something should occur. 

Customers will be charged a $500.00 deposit to reserve the van. Deposit's are returned after A-1 Van & Truck Rental calculates the toll usage on the EZ-Pass for the tolls you occurred during your rental. This is then subtracted from the deposit and the remainder of the deposit is returned to you. (This can take a few days) 

Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE if the reservation is canceled within one week before the rental date. A $100.00 Administration fee will be charged if the reservation is canceled more than a week prior to the rental. 

Again, after the rental is complete, deposits will be refunded to the Customer once we receive an accurate EZ Pass bill after the rental is complete. 

ABSOLUTELY NO RIDE SHARING! (This means No Uber, Lyft, Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash Etc...) Insurance will not cover the van if there is an accident. The Customer will be responsible for the damage. 

The van must be returned with the same amount of fuel in it as to how you received it. A Picture will be taken of the dashboard showing the mileage and fuel gauge. If the van is returned with the fuel less than how you received it, We will charge you $6.00 per gallon to return it back to how you received it and a $50.00 Administration fee. 

You will be given an allotted amount of mileage for your rental. (250 free miles per day) If a customer exceeds the allotted mileage, There will be a $.50 cent per mile charge. 

If you are traveling with children, It is the responsibility of the Customer to provide car seats for children. A-1 Van & Truck Rental does not provide car seats for children. 

A-1 Van & Truck Rental reserves the right to deny a rental at pick-up if we feel you may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. We WILL NOT rent to you, and you will LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT

A-1 Van & Truck Rental reserves the right to charge the Customer's Credit Card after the contract is closed for any violations that occurred during your rental. (EZ-Pass, Parking Speed/Red Light Camera, Etc...)
